I have had a few home gyms including 2 total gyms and 1 bowflex. I did not like either of the total gyms at all. They were easy to put together and very, very difficult to use. They were cumbersome and not fluid. I liked the concept of using your body for the weight resistance but it felt unsteady, uncomfortable, and akward. I tried this one for about 3 weeks. I really wanted to like it but just never did. Today, I am a much happier bowflex user.

An effective way to trim and tone your body. It is heavy to lift and fold for storage but does take up little space for storage. I recommend you considering this product.

Okay, so first off, I’m a 20 year old female who’s 30 pounds overweight. I’m currently on a journey to lose those pounds and tone up in the process. About two weeks ago, I began shopping around for home gyms and this one was the only one that really seemed to pop out at me. And not just because of the great price and numerous 5-star reviews. It just really seemed like the best piece of equipment to help me reach my goals hassle-free. I just received it today, and here are the top 5 reasons why I love it:
1. I ordered it this past Saturday and it was here today. So, that alone was enough to leave me feeling good about it.
2. It’s not as easy as it looks. If you do the exercises right, they can be very challenging, depending on the level of resistance. This really leaves you with a feeling of accomplishment.
3. It’s so FUN! I know you’re thinking, “working out, fun?” What I mean is that there’s just so much to do. You can be doing butterflies one minute and then squats the next. You wont get bored. And transitioning between exercises is so easy, a kid could do it.
4. It doesn’t wobble like a lot of people said it does. And I’m using it on carpet. The stability is fine and your workout feels smooth and turbulence-free.
5. Ummmmmm…The PRICE. HELLOOOO. For what you can do on the Total Gym and the fact that it’s name brand, I would price it at around at least $500. And that isn’t anywhere near its real price. You’re literally getting bang for your buck!
Bottomline, I could go on and on about this thing. So much that by next week, Chuck will be calling to recruit me as a sponsor! But I’ll just finish on this note. This thing truly lives up to its name, a “Total Gym”. I looked at $1600 Bowflexes and Gold’s Gym machines. And after working out on the TG for the first time tonight, I can honestly say that I don’t think those brands can do anything for your muscles that the Total Gym can’t. You do the math. $1000 to $2000 or a little over $200. If you can get the same workout either way, why not pay less for it? Go with Total Gym. It wont disappoint.
